1. I am hopelessly transfixed by TV. I know this sounds vapid, but I don't really care.
2. I frequently stay up way late on a "school night" trying to finish the last episode of Sons of Anarchy season 3 or last week's American Horror Story. None of this is good for my under-eye circles.
3. I am HBO-heavy....Game of Thrones and True Blood, primarily. I am also committed to watching The Wire on HBO Go, although I haven't started it yet. My favorite show ever is Six Feet Under. Outstanding.
4. Showtime has had some really good shows that I've watched lately - Dexter and Homeland are both great. Shameless is good fun.
5. I've caught up on a lot of shows on Netflix and then watched recent seasons as they happen - Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy are examples. I haven't gone there with Downton Abbey yet.
6. AMC and FX have really compelling line-ups with Sons, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Justified (not there yet), Mad Men, and Hell on Wheels (not there yet). I'm excited to see what these networks will turn out after BB and MM are over.
7. There are a few shows I watch on basic channels - just started The Following, Fringe just ended, and Grimm. These shows are pretty good but don't have the same edge as some of there cable brothers and sisters (due to the ratings restrictions).
8. So there it is. I am starting this blog because I just love to talk about television. I'll talk to the Comcast Care guy, my grandpa, the lady at the grocery store. I needed an outlet. That's where you come in.
